one other time I've heard them play like this - 5/8/77. People are going to flay me alive for saying that, but I really don't care. This show reaLLy speaks to me, for nothing more than to teLL me about what it means to be alive, to have Life. To take something indescribable, independent from our state of being or consciousness and turn that negative into positive manifestation.
Even thought they're considerably older people with regret, shame and consequences holding them back, there is a touch of conquered emotions puLLing them toward an ideal. It's what I'm striving for every single I write words like these. Lost in a Pursuit of a blind vision. Some days I feel like I'm wasting my years doing things that have nothing to show for them. I look at Jerry and the Dead from 1976 and think, why can't I do something like that? Build a world of my own, and then leave it behind like some vague legacy. It's my own responsibility, that's why it weighs so heavy on my shoulders. I can see why Jerry took aLL of those drugs to offset his inability to handle things weLL. It makes him human, as tragic as it was for him to almost kill himself. Anyway, the music speaks for itself, I just wanted to place some meaning behind the music...
